Document no. 3:1 (2000–2001) – Follow-up of earlier annotations

The Norwegian Storting (parliament) has today received the Office of the Auditor General’s review and evaluation of the annotations concerning the Central Government Financial Statements for 1995–98 designated "For observation" and a follow-up of the administrative audits debated by the Storting – Document no. 3:1 (2000–2001).

The Officer of the Auditor General’s annual follow-up of matters designated "For observation" has resulted in improved follow-up of the annotated matters in the public administration, and in the majority of cases it has therefore been possible to conclude these matters in the following year. In some cases, however, a matter that is under observation has been taken up as a new annotation in Document no. 1. The previous matter will then be concluded.

Document no. 3:1 (2000–2001) concerns eleven matters. Three matters are still under observation, while eight matters are considered to be concluded. Of the concluded matters, one has been followed up in Document no. 1 (2000–2001). Two administrative audits that have previously been debated by the Storting are also discussed.
